Resistol Australia Takes Centre Stage at the 2025 NCHA Futurity

The dust has settled on one of the most thrilling events on the equestrian calendar — the 2025 NCHA Futurity — and what a ride it was! Held in Tamworth, this iconic event is the largest cutting horse show in the Southern Hemisphere, drawing elite competitors, legendary bloodlines, and a nationwide audience of passionate fans.

As proud sponsors of this high-stakes showdown, Resistol Australia was right in the thick of it — celebrating the grit, heart, and horsepower that makes this sport so electric.

Gearing Up the Champions with Resistol

At this year’s Futurity, we were honored to present Resistol hat prize vouchers to the winners of:

  • 🏆 Open & Non-Pro Futurity

  • 🏆 Open & Non-Pro Derby

  • 🏆 Open & Non-Pro Classic Challenge

  • 🏆 Open & Non-Pro Limited Futurity

Each Resistol voucher represented more than just premium western gear — it was a nod to the blood, sweat, and hours of training poured into every run down the pen. Winners walked away not only with bragging rights but with the opportunity to deck themselves out in the #bestallaround cowboy hat available in the world.

Why the NCHA Futurity Matters

The NCHA Futurity is more than just a horse show — it’s a national spectacle, a breeding ground for champions, and a place where careers are made. It’s where the best come to test themselves, and where future stars first shine.

For Resistol Australia, being part of this event isn’t just about branding — it’s about backing the sport at its core. We’re here for the early mornings, the long hauls, the tough calls, and the big wins. And events like the NCHA Futurity remind us exactly why we do it.

Our Riders. Our Pride.

Resistol Australia was also cheering from the stands for our three sponsored riders, all of whom brought serious fire to the pen:

Lincoln Veraart

A name that continues to rise in the ranks, Lincoln rode his way into the Open Futurity Finals on the final night of the 2025 Futurity, and took home the win of the Open Pinnacle on a whopping score of 225. Lincoln and 'Frontman' were first on the draw making the win even more impressive. We caught up with Lincoln on Day 13 of the event!

Lynda MacCallum

A seasoned campaigner and absolute class act, Lynda had another amazing Futurity. Not only did she make the Open Futurity finals on two horses - 'Cuttabar Cole Duck' and 'Hold My Halo', she also made the Open Derby Finals with her son Peter, making NCHA history as the first mother and son duo to make the finals. Lincoln caught up with Lynda and Pete the day before the finals to have a chat about the achievement.

Jack Murphy

Sixteen year old Jack Murphy continues to redefine the word 'Youth' competitor with scores that would make senior riders sit up a little straighter in their saddle. As one of Australia's next up and coming cutters, we are proud to have Jack as part of Team Resistol. Jack had a fantastic fortnight in the arena, the highlight being taking home the Senior Youth title on 'Smooth 'n' Spin' with a score of 218.5.
