Jack Murphy

Jacks’ passion for horses became evident from a very young age, and growing up on a Thoroughbred farm put Jack in a unique position to develop his horsemanship skills from the moment he could walk.

Jack's cutting career began in 2019 when a close family friend introduced him to the sport and inspired him to compete at an elite level. Jack then instigated a training regime and set himself a goal to learn everything he could about the sport of cutting.

He started off in the Snaffle Bit classes on his first horse ‘Amelia Acres’ and quickly graduated to one handed cutting on ‘Smooth N Spin’ and ‘Smarty’s Day’.

Cutting is not alone on Jack’s list of accomplishments, like any other fourteen-year-old, he also attends school full time and dedicates himself to his studies with as much commitment as he has to his horses. Jacks School is extremely supportive and offers him flexibility to travel and compete when major events are on during the year – but Jack is happiest when he is surrounded by his cattle and horses and working on the land.

Jack is extremely excited to be partnering with Resistol Australia, as Resistol has always been his number one choice when it comes to style, durability and sun protection and he truly ‘lives it every day’.
