Jane Tscharke - Equine Bit Fit Australia

I’m Jane Tscharke and my business is Equine Bit Fit Australia. I am based in Victor Harbor, South Australia and offer a complete mobile bit fitting service. I service the areas from the Fleurieu Peninsular, Strathalbyn, the Onkaparinga Hills, the Adelaide Hills, Gawler, Mallala,  Metro Adelaide the Barossa Valley through to Murray Bridge. I am available for one on one private consolations and bitting clinics.

An accumulation of years of experience in the equine industry (working and competing to 2*Eventing Level and 1.15m Show Jumping ) and formal training has led to a sound and educated knowledge base in fitting a bit to the horses anatomical shape and mouth/head sensitivities. Having an Associate Diploma in Applied Science (Horse Husbandry and Management) and being a qualified Veterinary Nurse and a Registered Nurse I have an excellent understanding and working knowledge of anatomy and skeletal function and movement. 

The pivotal point in my bitting journey was meeting Bomber Nel himself. After spending years questioning the fact that anatomy and each horses sensitivities must play a factor in why they perform better in one bit then another but not really connecting the dots, Bomber did just this for me. Providing the knowledge, guidance and experience Bomber started me on my bit fitting journey. To be able to assess, recommend and see the incredible results a correct bit fit based on anatomical structure and sensitivities makes, is my driving factor. I am passionate about the welfare of each horse I work with. The rewarding part of my job is that not only do I learn so much from each horse I see but I have the ability to enable them to perform to their very best ability.
