Mark Kenzig is widely admired as one of Australia’s foremost show horse trainers and riders, yet few people realise his professional equestrian career started on the race track. After completely a four-year apprenticeship, Mark enjoyed two further years as a jockey before literally out-growing his job. While his height may have forced a change in direction, Mark’s early career explains his ability to turn off-the-track thoroughbreds into magnificent show horses.

Mark went on to complete a veterinary course at TAFE before honing his craft in the show horse world at a leading stable in Sydney’s west. After four years, he went out on his own and established Northampton Dale Australia Show Horses.

An impressive list of qualifications speaks for itself. Mark has EFA NCAS Level 1 accreditation, is a Royal Listed SHC Judge and EA National Saddle Horse Judge, has taught at The University of Sydney and holds a certificate in training and assessment from the NSW Department of Education.

All these qualifications aside, not to mention a trophy cabinet full of national awards, two things truly stand out about Mark. The first is his sporting behavior — he is the first to congratulate other competitors and encourage young riders. Simply put, Mark is a gentleman, who strives for integrity and honesty.

The second is the immaculate presentation of his horses. There is never a hair out of place on an ND Australia horse — every plait, quarter mark and patch of white is perfect.

Not surprisingly, Mark uses Supreme Products, a range of range of top quality show preparation and presentation products made in Britain specifically for horses. Supreme Products contain no chemicals, additives or fillers, so you know your horse is getting the best.

Apart from elbow grease (good, old-fashioned grooming), Mark makes his horses shine from the inside using ePro Glow Oil, with outside help from a spray of ePro Xtreme Glow Coat Gloss.
