Becky Jenkins can literally not remember a time when she didn’t go to equestrian competitions — her parents were active competitors all over the eastern states, so every weekend from birth was an equestrian odyssey. Not surprisingly, Becky could ride before she could walk and started competing under saddle at an early age. Her passion for show jumping was so clear that Becky started competing in EA classes at 12!

Becky has and continues to enjoy a well-round equestrian life. She has led the field in Australia’s most prestigious show horse and show jumping competitions, represented Australia six times and won the World Cup seven times. A highlight of her riding career was eight months training in Holland with Olympic silver medallist Albert Voorn.

Such experiences are now put to excellent use at Fairview Performance Horses, which Becky runs an hour west of Brisbane with her partner Stuart, also a successful show jumper. Together they provide agistment, breaking, training, show preparation and coaching services to horse lovers at all stages in their equestrian journey.

In recent years, Becky has emerged as a talented and sought-after coach, with students ranging from young lead line riders to World Cup competitors. “I love the challenge of improving riders and helping them achieve their goals,” she says. “I feel I have a good confidence boosting ability with riders of all ages.”

As a Level 1 NCAS Coach, Becky goes above and beyond with her students, aiming to provide the perfect blend of skills and inspiration. In 2014, she won the Gow Gates Coach of the Year award in recognition of her positive image in the coaching profession and dedication to the development of equestrian athletes. She also serves as chair of Equestrian QLD’s Show Jumping committee.

A fan of the Noble Outfitters Ashley Performance Shirt and Balance Riding Tights, Becky's students are now also hooked on the Perfect Fit Gloves, which come in an array of fun colours and patterns. ePro and Carr & Day & Martin also sponsor Becky.
